AbiliTech Solutions Inc.

POMAX is partnered with AbiliTech Solutions Inc., an established human performance and ergonomics consulting firm to ensure design principals to decrease the physical demands of any given job are given taken into account. AbiliTech’s understanding of the way the human body responds to its work environment ensures that clients have the option of implementing a strong, proactive ergonomics program that can save significant costs resulting from a workplace injury. The Ontario Ministry of Labour estimated that the total average direct and indirect cost of a single lost time injury was approximately $85,200 per claim in 2007.

Active Informatics

Active Informatics software is well known and employed in fire and paramedic services throughout the United Kingdom and is now available in Canada through Pomax. In addition to resource determination and response simulation, its capabilities extend to apparatus placement in extreme event scenarios.

Pomax uses Phoenix resource and response simulation software, by Active Informatics, on some of its projects. Phoenix is a powerful workload modelling and asset deployment application for public safety organizations. Using historical incident and performance data it analyzes operational activity to identify issues in recent performance and potential risks in future emergency coverage. Phoenix demonstrates optimal resource deployment to mitigate risk, improveoperational performance, and reduce costs without increasing risk in the community.
